On 22 February 2012, IRAS issued the first edition of an e-Tax Guide on “Tax Exemption under section 13(12) for Specified Scenarios, Real Estate Investment Trusts and Qualifying Offshore InfrastructureProject/Asset”. This e-Tax Guide replaces the earlier guide entitled “Income Tax: Tax Exemption under section 13(12) for Specified Scenarios and Real Estate Investment Trusts”, first published on 31 May 2006.
Section 13(12) provides that the Minister may, by order, exempt from tax wholly or in part foreign-sourced income received by a person resident in Singapore. This e-tax guide provides details on various scenarios and conditions under which the tax exemption under section 13(12) of the Income Tax Act (“ITA”) will be granted to resident taxpayers. Basically, tax exemption, subject to conditions, can be granted under section 13(12) of the ITA on:
* certain foreign-sourced income received in Singapore by resident companies under specified scenarios
* certain foreign-sourced income received in Singapore by Real Estate InvestmentTrusts listed on SGX (“S-REITs”) or their wholly-owned Singapore resident subsidiary companies that meet qualifying conditions
* foreign-sourced interest income received in Singapore by approved listed resident entities or their approved wholly-owned Singapore resident subsidiary companies from qualifying offshore infrastructure project/asset
* foreign-sourced income received in Singapore by resident taxpayers on a case-by-case basis.
* certain foreign-sourced income received in Singapore by Real Estate InvestmentTrusts listed on SGX (“S-REITs”) or their wholly-owned Singapore resident subsidiary companies that meet qualifying conditions
* foreign-sourced interest income received in Singapore by approved listed resident entities or their approved wholly-owned Singapore resident subsidiary companies from qualifying offshore infrastructure project/asset
* foreign-sourced income received in Singapore by resident taxpayers on a case-by-case basis.

Jun Ji Hyun’s boyfriend, Choi Joon Hyuk, is tall, handsome, and currently works in finance. He is also the grandson of well-known Hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) designer, Lee Young Hee.
The two had been friends for a long time before finally starting to date last year. They went public about their relationship in December. Jeon Ji-hyun Biography
Jeon Ji-hyun (b. October 30, 1981) first became well-known as a commercial model and as a TV actress. Although she made her film debut in the little-watched White Valentine in 1999, it was not until later in the year when she was featured in an advertisement for an audio system that she became a popular sensation. The dancing and attitude expressed in the ad made her into an icon for Koreans in their late teens and early twenties.
After continuing her TV and modelling career, Jeon made her first well-publicized film appearance in late 2000 with Il Mare. A handsomely-shot melodrama set on Kanghwa Island, the film did respectably well at the box office (despite opening on the same day as JSA) and solidified her status as a star.
Jeon"s breakout film was comedy My Sassy Girl, which became a huge hit both in Korea and throughout Asia with its tale of a gullible college student and his slightly unhinged girlfriend. The film spent two weeks at #1 in Hong Kong, and turned her into Korea"s most recognizable star in the Chinese-language market. Two years then passed before she appeared in her next film, an "occult thriller" titled The Uninvited which wowed critics but failed to catch on with viewers. 2004 saw her return to the big screen in another film by Kwak Jae-yong, the director of My Sassy Girl. Nonetheless, Windstruck became the best-performing film ever in Japan, where My Sassy Girl was not as well known.
Jeon"s next project Daisy teamed her with Jung Woo-sung (who frequently appears together with her in advertisements), and drew attention for its 100% location shooting in the Netherlands, and for using the Hong Kong director Andrew Lau (Infernal Affairs). Nonetheless the film disappointed at the box-office and drew weak appraisals from viewers.
In late 2006 it was announced the Jeon would be making her long-predicted jump to Hollywood to take the lead role in Blood: The Last Vampire. The international co-production is the live-action adaptation of a popular Japanese anime.

JTune Entertainment released official report on 10th June, “Even though it is true that Rain and Jeon JiHyun have close friends in common in the drama industry, reports and rumours that the 2 are in a love relationship after being introduced to each other are not true. The reasons why they were seen together at the i-park is because they have friends living there. The reported photo of them together are actually 2 photos of them taken individually. They are hurt that the rings that their familes gave them are misreported as token of love between the 2.”
JTune added, “We are sad that we were not able to protect Rain’s private life because he is famous. We intend to handle this case legally.”
The media reportedly stated, “We have been watching them for 100 days. They even have a special dating venue. To avoid the public eye, the 2 had gone for secret dating. The dating venue is SamSung i-park where Jeon JiHyun is staying. The 2 will meet on days when they don’t have schedule. They will avoid meeting on weekends where there are music broadcast filming, but will spend time together on Sunday evening when all the filmings are over. The day before Rain left for the States to attend the MTV Movie Awards, he had gone to look up Jeon JiHyun at her place.
